Pay What You Will

How does it work?

Welcome to our brand new At Home With The Wayne campaign - a series of online, digital content to continue in our commitment of delivering diverse programming through (and despite) the COVID-19 pandemic.

COVID-19 STATEMENT

Pay What You Will Content available to everyone

All of our At Home With The Wayne programs and special features are Pay What You Will and will provide a variety of online materials that entertain, inspire, enrich, and enlighten our audiences. While these are challenging times for all of us, the necessary response to COVID-19 has been especially difficult for venues like the Wayne Theatre. We rely on the support of patrons like you. Please continue to support us in any way that you can. You can make a donation, become a Partner In The Arts member, purchase tickets for upcoming shows, or purchase a gift certificate by calling us at 540-943-999.

Frozen, Jr

As the response to COVID-19 temporarily closed our doors at the Wayne Theatre in Waynesboro, Virginia, our production of Frozen JR was postponed. However, on Saturday, March 21, 2020, that didn't stop these determined kids! They turned a social distancing "parking lot rehearsal" into a "parking lot performance" - one that was just as spirited and filled with hope and heart as any show on our stage. While the sound quality isn't ideal, we think that you'll be inspired by the tenacity and positive attitude of these young singers.

Art exhibit

My Color Filled World

Painting, printmaking and drawing have been cornerstones of Jill Jensen’s work. She has used them separately to create finished works of art and since 1998 and has combined them in her fiber based work. Beginning in June 2001, Jensen started a weekly practice of making small art quilts and journaling on the back side of the quilt. One shape is chosen for the entire year. In 2017 she decided to create her weekly quilts as a single time line to mark the passage of the year.  Excited with how this timeline worked, she is continuing to use this method to carry on with her journaling and maintaining a regular studio practice. We invite you to explore this exhibit with us, virtually through the video below.

Brick Campaign

You can be one of those who link the past to the future with a $125 donation. Not since the Wayne was opened in 1926 has there been a chance for you to put your thumbprints on the venerable structure and leave a mark for all those who pass by.

Seat Campaign

We invite you to join us in the opportunity and privilege of leaving an indelible mark on our historic treasure from 1926, the Wayne Theatre.

While partnering with us to bring a tremendous cultural resource to Waynesboro, you will also gain access to the actual naming of a seat, handsomely etched into the armrest itself. Through the link below, you can find more information about the naming opportunity for as many seats as you wish, through a tax-deductible donation.

Become part of the history of tomorrow by putting your name on a seat, remembering a loved one, or proudly displaying your company name. Gifting others with the naming of a seat is a timeless token of affection that will be cherished for years to come. Gift certificates are available upon request.

Please join us in this exciting venture of creating a New Waynesboro through a new Wayne. Securing the naming opportunity of a seat is very affordable, while leaving a lasting inspiration to all who will tangibly see your invaluable part in bringing this state-of-the-art facility to Waynesboro.

Seats are available for a one-time donation of $1,000 or $1,250 when paid over three years. The first-year installment must accompany the seat pledge card.

You can also have your lawyer write a bequest to WTA into your will. The funds can be directed to the operational budget or restricted to any of the following WTA accounts: Programming Fund, Building Fund, Subsidize Fund or Endowment.
