About This Exhibit:
Featuring 10 quilts from VQM’s collection this exhibit celebrates how quilters use needle and thread to create significantly different works of art. The functional history of quilting has evolved through time to include many techniques and styles that are featured in these quilts made from the 1800’s through the 2020’s. The quilts offer a glimpse of the many treasures that Virginia Quilt Museum preserves and cares for.
VQM’s outreach programs celebrate the creativity, craftsmanship, and artistry of the makers and entices the public to visit the museum in Harrisonburg, participate in an online class or lecture, or follow VQM on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. The Museum is open to the public Tuesday-Saturday from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm and is located at 301 S. Main St. Harrisonburg, VA
