About This Exhibit
Joe Sheridan is an artist and a fine craftsman. His drawings demonstrate his love for utilitarian objects using symbolism, design and complex patterns to reveal our relationship with the mundane world. He accomplishes this by layering lines, textures, text, and repeated imagery. He says, “Through their repetition, I seek to create a sense of rhythm and pattern, inviting viewers to consider the deeper meanings and associations that these objects hold.”
The exhibit will also feature Joe’s handmade rustic chairs. His goal with exhibiting both drawings and chairs invites viewers to engage with the world in new and unexpected ways, to encourage a broader understanding of the human experience and the many ways in which we communicate our thoughts, feelings, and ideas.
