Studio Wayne: Summer 2023: Broadway Dance Intensive: Rising Middle & High School Students

Many musicals have huge tap ensembles, others have 13 minute "dream ballets", and the hip-hop in Matilda, Hamilton, and In the Heights can inspire all audiences! In this overview of four different dance styles, Students will get a sampling of Broadway Jazz, Ballet, Tap, and Hip-hop. They will learn the origins of each style and how these styles play into Muscal Theatre performance! On the final day of class, students will work on using steps and techniques they have learned to create their own piece, which will performed along with a piece in the four other styles introduced earlier in the week!

Last Day to register: 6/8/23

Classes meet for one week- Monday through Friday, June 12-16, 2023 at 1:00pm-2:30pm

Classes will meet at Studio Wayne, just up the hill from the theatre.
