The Jewish and African American people arrived in America by different paths. But the parallels in their histories as oppressed minorities brought them together in the struggle for equal rights. This dynamic concert explores the musical record of their journey and expressions of hope for a better world. The exciting celebration of a common journey of two cultures is the essence of Soul to Soul which brings together the African American and the Yiddish American experience in a deeply stirring musical presentation. Mlotek performs with two African American Broadway veterans, Tony Perry and Elmore James as well as Lisa Fishman, and Cantor Magda Fishman, sharing the stage with a wonderful Klezmer ensemble. Soul to Soul has been performed for enthusiastic audiences from Coast to Coast.
