Forever George & Tammy Featuring Alyssa & Wayne Brewer Comes to the Wayne Theatre on October 25, 2025

Waynesboro, VA - The Wayne Theatre is pleased to present Forever George & Tammy featuring Alyssa & Wayne Brewer on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. This special concert pays tribute to country music legends George Jones and Tammy Wynette, as performed by husband-and-wife duo Alyssa and Wayne Brewer. The event is part of the Wayne Theatre’s ongoing 10th/100th anniversary season.

Known for their authentic sound and shared love of classic country music, Alyssa and Wayne Brewer bring a fresh perspective to the legacy of George and Tammy’s timeless duets. Their album, Alyssa and Wayne Sing George and Tammy, features heartfelt renditions of well-known hits like “Golden Ring” and “We’re Gonna Hold On,” alongside lesser-known tracks including “Rosie Bokay.”

Wayne Brewer is a sixth-generation musician recognized for his work with Gary Brewer & The Kentucky Ramblers, and Alyssa Brewer brings her own dynamic vocals and stage presence to the duo. Together, they honor the musical heritage of two of country music’s most iconic voices.

“This show offers our audience a unique opportunity to enjoy the music of George Jones and Tammy Wynette performed by artists who truly understand and respect the tradition,” said Tracy Straight, Executive Director of the Wayne Theatre. “Alyssa and Wayne Brewer have created a performance that bridges generations of country music fans.”

The concert is part of the Wayne Theatre’s 2025–2026 season, which celebrates both the 10th anniversary of its modern-day reopening as a performing arts center and the 100th anniversary of the original Wayne Theatre, which opened in 1926.
