WAYNESBORO, VA - The Wayne Theatre will present Rocky Mountain Christmas Starring Jim Curry on December 16 in Downtown Waynesboro. Hailed as the number one John Denver tribute artist, national touring vocalist Jim Curry brings Denver’s timeless catalog to life in a festive concert that blends beloved holiday favorites with the hits that defined America’s troubadour.
Audiences will hear classics such as “Silver Bells” and “Silent Night,” along with signature John Denver songs including “Take Me Home, Country Roads” and “Annie’s Song.” Curry is known for an authentic sound and sincere stage presence that invite audiences to clap, sing along, and share the spirit of the season.
Curry’s credentials include serving as the singing voice of John Denver in the CBS film “Take Me Home: The John Denver Story.” He was a key performer at Denver’s induction into the Colorado Music Hall of Fame and has hosted the official John Denver Estate show on tours throughout the United States and Australia. Guitarist Pete Huttlinger, who performed with Denver, praised Curry’s work, noting, “Jim Curry sounded like John Denver. I closed my eyes and went back to the times when I worked with John.”
The program showcases the warmth and optimism that made Denver a household name. From tender ballads to joyful singalongs, the evening offers a family friendly celebration of melody, storytelling, and holiday cheer.
